Equipped by Faith: Stepping Through the Open Doors
Ted Jackson said that God has opened many amazing doors for him during his four decades as a photojournalist. In recognizing the source of these moments, he felt a powerful responsibility to walk through them—often with fear and trembling. “But why should I have been so fearful? God has been a faithful guide my entire life. Why was I so afraid that He couldn’t handle my next step?” he asks.

Looking back, he now thinks he knows. Thirty years ago, a “chance encounter" with a homeless man challenged his understanding of God’s mysterious guidance.

View from a Windowless Room
To spend countless hours behind a desk in the corner of a windowless office, writing for and editing a magazine, is not unique in the journalism world. But it takes on somewhat of a different flavor when that office is in the bowels of the nation's largest maximum-security prison, the Louisiana State Penitentiary—better known as Angola—and the magazine is The Angolite. Hear Kerry Myers discuss his unique perspective on journalism from a windowless room.
