120-PLUS ATTEND BCA WORKSHOP
This year's Baptist Communicators Association Workshop attracted more than 120 participants to Louisville April 4-6. Sponsored by the Kentucky Baptist Convention and the
Western Recorder, the event was one of BCA's largest.
The conference featured keynote speakers Harvey Thomas, international public relations consultant and former communications director for British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher; Larry Ross, Billy Graham's personal public relations consultant; and Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist Angelo Henderson. A copy of Thomas' "Ten Commandments of Communications" is at
www.baptistcommunicators.org/images/HTHOMAS.PDF.
"The BCA conference was absolutely fantastic," said Sara Horn of Union University. "We really enjoyed it. I especially got a lot out of the writing workshops, particularly Peter Jacobi and Angelo Henderson."

A variety of workshops focused on topics ranging from writing to websites. Groups also participated in an opening night reception at Louisville Slugger Museum and toured Churchill Downs and Louisville Stoneware. The workshop concluded with the awards banquet. Award winners are listed at
www.baptistcommunicators.org/workshop2.htm.
"The awards banquet was wonderful; obviously, we were very pleased," said Stephen Farrar of LifeWay Christian
Resources. " That aside, I was also very pleasantly surprised by the workshop itself. The content and quality of the sessions exceeded my expectations."
